DEX Trading Guide
What is the OmniBazaar DEX?
The OmniBazaar DEX (Decentralized Exchange) is a built-in trading platform that lets you swap tokens and trade spot markets directly from your account. It also gives you access to perpetual futures markets from partner platforms (Hyperliquid and Aster) — you sign and send those trades straight to the partner, so OmniBazaar never holds your futures funds. It uses a hybrid order book and AMM (Automated Market Maker) model for deep liquidity and tight spreads.
Order Types
The DEX supports professional-grade order types:
- Market: Execute immediately at the best available price.
- Limit: Set a specific price; the order fills when the market reaches it.
- Stop: Trigger a market order when a price level is reached.
- Stop-Limit: Trigger a limit order at a specified stop price.
- OCO (One-Cancels-Other): Two linked orders; when one fills, the other cancels.
- Iceberg: Large order split into smaller visible portions.
- TWAP: Time-Weighted Average Price — executes over a time window.
- VWAP: Volume-Weighted Average Price — executes proportional to market volume.
Perpetual Futures
Perpetual futures markets are provided by partner platforms such as Hyperliquid and Aster, not by OmniBazaar itself. You can trade with leverage from 1x to 100x without expiration dates, and every 8 hours longs and shorts exchange funding payments to keep the contract price aligned with spot. Because you sign and submit each trade directly to the partner platform, OmniBazaar never holds your funds — liquidation rules and leverage limits are set by that platform, not by OmniBazaar.
Making a Trade
- Navigate to DEX > Trading.
- Select your trading pair (e.g., XOM/USDC).
- Choose your order type and enter the amount.
- Review the estimated fees and execution price.
- Confirm the trade.
Trading Fees
Trading a spot pair costs 0.20% if you take liquidity already on the book; if you add liquidity and get matched as a maker, you earn a 0.05% rebate instead. Of every fee collected, 70% goes to the people providing liquidity (the LP Pool), 20% goes to OmniBazaar, and 10% goes to the Protocol Treasury. Validators never receive trading fees directly.
Privacy Swaps
Convert between XOM and pXOM (Private OmniCoin) any time you want extra privacy — shielding is always your choice, never automatic. The conversion uses secure multi-party computation on COTI V2 so only you can see your transaction amounts. Conversion is always exactly 1:1, with no OmniBazaar fee — you only pay the small COTI network gas cost.
