How to Use Escrow
Protect Your Purchase with Escrow
For high-value purchases, escrow ensures you're protected until the item arrives.
Step 1: Enable Escrow at Checkout
When buying an item, check the "Use Escrow Protection" box before completing payment.
Step 2: Funds Are Held
Your payment goes into a smart contract escrow instead of directly to the seller. Escrow protection is included — there's no separate escrow charge today.
Step 3: Seller Ships Item
The seller sees that payment is secured in escrow and ships your item with tracking.
Step 4: Track Delivery
Monitor the tracking number. You'll receive notifications when the item is in transit and delivered.
Step 5: Inspect the Item
Once delivered, carefully inspect the item to ensure it matches the description.
Step 6: Release Payment
If everything is good, click "Release Escrow" in your order details. Payment goes to seller immediately.
Step 7: If There's a Problem
If the item is wrong or damaged:
- Take photos as evidence
- Click "Open Dispute"
- Explain the issue
- Upload photos
- An arbitrator will review and decide
