How to Use Privacy Mode (pXOM)
Amount Privacy with pXOM
Convert XOM to pXOM to hide how much you're sending. This is privacy on demand — you choose when to shield a transaction.
Step 1: Open Privacy Converter
In your wallet, click "Privacy" tab, then "Convert to pXOM"
Step 2: Enter Amount
Enter how much XOM you want to convert to private pXOM. Conversion is always exactly 1:1 — you only pay the small COTI network gas fee, never a platform fee.
Step 3: Confirm Conversion
Review the details and click "Convert". Confirm in your wallet.
Step 4: Wait for Confirmation
Conversion usually takes 10-30 seconds. Your pXOM balance will update.
Step 5: Use pXOM
Send pXOM just like regular XOM:
- Click "Send"
- Select pXOM from token dropdown
- Enter recipient address
- Enter amount
- Send
Privacy Features
pXOM transactions hide:
- Transaction amounts
Your wallet address is still visible on-chain — pXOM encrypts the amount you send, not who you are.
Converting Back to XOM
When you need transparent XOM:
- Click "Convert to XOM"
- Enter pXOM amount
- Pay only the COTI network gas fee (no platform fee — conversion is always 1:1)
- Receive XOM
When to Use pXOM
- Large transactions you want private
- Business payments
- Salary payments
- Protecting personal financial privacy
When NOT to Use pXOM
- Marketplace purchases (XOM required)
- Staking (requires transparent XOM)
- DEX trading (most pairs require XOM)
- Validator operations
