Privacy on OmniBazaar
OmniBazaar integrates COTI V2 privacy technology to offer confidential transactions. You can convert between XOM (public) and pXOM (Private OmniCoin) to shield transaction amounts from public view.
XOM to pXOM Conversion
Convert your XOM tokens to pXOM through the Privacy section of your wallet. COTI V2 uses garbled circuits (multi-party computation) to encrypt transaction amounts so only you can see them. Your wallet address remains visible on-chain, but the amounts are hidden.
The conversion is always 1:1 — there's no protocol fee.
Privacy Tiers
- Amount Privacy (Purple): COTI MPC garbled circuits hide transaction amounts while addresses remain visible.
- Address Privacy (Blue): Relayer rotation obscures your wallet address for enhanced anonymity.
- Full Privacy (Green): COTI L2 provides complete privacy — both amounts and addresses are shielded.
Private DEX Trading
Trade on the DEX with privacy enabled. Private orders use pXOM for settlement, shielding your trading activity from public view. Navigate to DEX > Swap and toggle the privacy mode before placing a trade.
Private Marketplace Purchases
Use pXOM for marketplace purchases to keep transaction amounts confidential. The escrow system works the same way — funds are locked until delivery is confirmed — but the amounts are encrypted.
Important Notes
- RWA (Real World Asset) trading does not support privacy mode due to regulatory requirements for securities.
- KYC verification status is preserved across privacy conversions.
- You can convert pXOM back to XOM at any time, still 1:1 with no fee.
