What Are Real World Assets?
Real World Assets (RWAs) are tokenized representations of physical or traditional financial assets — real estate, treasury bills, stocks, bonds, commodities, fine art, and more. On OmniBazaar, you can buy and sell fractional ownership in these assets, making investments previously accessible only to wealthy investors available to everyone.
Supported Asset Types
The OmniBazaar RWA marketplace supports 15 asset categories:
- Treasury: Tokenized T-bills and government bonds (e.g., USDY, OUSG, bIB01)
- Stocks: Tokenized equities and share fractions
- Bonds: Corporate and municipal bond tokens
- Commodities: Gold, silver, oil, and agricultural tokens
- Real Estate: Fractional property ownership tokens
- ETFs & Funds: Tokenized index funds and managed portfolios
- Private Credit: Lending pool tokens with fixed yields
- Vaults: Yield-bearing vaults that automatically reinvest your returns (built on the ERC-4626 standard)
- Carbon Credits, Art, Collectibles, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Energy, Synthetic
Verification Tiers
Every RWA token is classified by verification level:
- Verified: Known issuer with confirmed price feed — highest trust level.
- Standard: Listed issuer but limited price coverage.
- Unverified: Awaiting issuer confirmation — trade with caution.
- Flagged: Potential issues identified — under review.
How to Trade RWAs
- Navigate to DEX > RWA from the main menu.
- Browse or search for specific asset types, issuers, or tokens.
- Review the token's details: issuer, chain, price, TVL, APY, and verification status.
- Place a buy or sell order. RWA trades settle through the same escrow system as marketplace purchases.
Price Discovery
RWA prices are determined by the Oracle Aggregator, which pulls data from a 12-tier price cascade including issuer APIs, DEX pricing, and CoinGecko. The system flags anomalies for review to protect traders from stale or manipulated prices.
Compliance
RWA listings must comply with local securities regulations. The platform provides compliance tools including KYC verification, geographic restriction enforcement, and accredited investor verification where required. Privacy mode is not available for RWA trading due to regulatory requirements.
Fractional Ownership
Most RWAs are fractionalized, letting you invest with as little as a few dollars worth of XOM. Fractional owners receive proportional returns from any income the asset generates, such as rental income or dividends.
