General

What is OmniBazaar?

OmniBazaar is a decentralized peer-to-peer marketplace built on blockchain technology. It allows users to buy and sell physical goods, digital assets, NFTs, and services directly without intermediaries, using smart contract escrow for secure transactions.

What fees does OmniBazaar charge?

Sellers pay a 1% fee on completed sales — buyers pay no platform fee. That 1% already covers listing, referral, and transaction costs, so there's nothing extra on top. See the Fees Explained guide for a full breakdown.

Buying and Selling

How do I buy items?

Browse listings, click on items you want, review seller ratings, then click "Buy Now" or "Make Offer". Payment is held in escrow until you confirm receipt.

What can I sell?

Physical goods, digital products, NFTs, and services. All listings must comply with local laws and platform guidelines.

Payments and Escrow

What cryptocurrencies are accepted?

XOM (native token), AVAX, USDC, USDT, and other major cryptocurrencies on the Avalanche network.

How does escrow work?

Smart contract escrow holds payment when a buyer purchases. Funds are released to the seller when the buyer confirms receipt, delivery is confirmed via tracking, or the escrow period expires without dispute.

XOM Token

What is XOM?

XOM (OmniCoin) is the native cryptocurrency used for transactions, staking, governance voting, and earning rewards. XOM holders receive fee discounts.

How can I earn XOM?

Sell items, stake existing XOM for rewards (5–12% APR), participate in governance, refer new users, host listing nodes, or validate transactions.

Wallet

How many blockchains does the wallet support?

The built-in wallet supports 80+ blockchains including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Polkadot, and all major EVM chains, all from a single seed phrase.

Can I use my existing wallet?

Yes. Connect MetaMask, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, or hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) using the "Connect Wallet" button.

Security

How do disputes get resolved?

Through the decentralized arbitration system. Community arbitrators review evidence from both parties and vote on the outcome. The smart contract automatically executes the decision.

Is KYC required?

Basic buying and selling doesn't require KYC. Verified users enjoy higher limits, premium features, and enhanced trust scores. See the KYC Guide for details.
