Set up OmniBazaar Wallet and keep your money safe
OmniBazaar Wallet is a free browser extension. It lets you hold and use
your crypto from 80+ blockchains — all from one place. You never juggle
separate wallets for separate coins again.
Your money stays in your hands. We never touch it. We can't. (Crypto people call
this non-custodial.)
What you need before you start
You need a computer and a browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. The whole
setup takes about two minutes.
Install the wallet
- Go to app.omnibazaar.com.
- Click Install OmniBazaar Wallet.
- Follow the steps to add it to your browser.
The wallet runs on your device. Your keys are encrypted there and never
leave it. That means only you can reach your funds.
Create your wallet
When you first open the wallet, it walks you through creating a new wallet.
You get one special thing: a recovery phrase. It is a list of 12 to 24
words, such as "river", "apple", "silver".
Write these words down on paper. Keep them safe and private.
Why the recovery phrase matters more than anything
Your recovery phrase is your wallet. It is the whole key.
- Anyone who has those words controls the money. No password needed.
- If you lose the words, nobody can get your money back — not us, not
anyone. We do not have a copy, and we cannot reset it for you.
That is why we never ask for the phrase. It stays on paper, in your hands,
and nowhere else.
A real example
Imagine you lose your laptop. No problem. You install OmniBazaar Wallet on
a new computer, enter your recovery phrase, and your funds are back. The
words rebuild your wallet on any device.
Now imagine the opposite. You lose the paper with your words. Even with
your old password, no one can unlock the wallet. The words are the only
way back.
Tips for keeping your phrase safe
- Write it on paper, not in a file on your phone.
- Store it somewhere private and dry.
- Never photograph it or send it to anyone.
- Never type it into a website that asks for it.
Your next step
Open the app — free, nothing to install. Then install OmniBazaar Wallet and
write down your recovery phrase the moment it appears.
